I started watching the Taiwanese TV series Silence (深情密碼) a few weeks ago. It is broadcasted by the Chinese channel here on Saturdays and Sundays. It is really a touching story, though I do not think it is realistic. I could not help but cry almost continuously while watching it. I have never been an F4 fan. And I have never watched Meteor Garden. But in Silence, I think Vic Chou did a good job. Maybe I like the character he portrayed than his actual acting. You can watch the whole series on YouTube. I just watched a documentary made by the filmmaker Quentin Lee. It shows the things he needed to consider to make the decision whether he should move back to Hong Kong.

Though I was born in Hong Kong and had lived there for ten years, I never thought about moving back to Hong Kong. After the last time I visited Hong Kong (September this year), I really started feeling that I did not really feel at home there (anymore......?). As I mentioned earlier, a lot of people there are rude. And it is so crowded in Hong Kong!

港男/港女

When I was in Hong Kong, I joined a three day tour to Seoul. Since my mum needed to stay in Hong Kong, I went alone. I met a girl who used to live in Melbourne during that tour. She said that I did not appear to be from Hong Kong or from abroad. Uhm... I did not know whether it was a compliment or not. But I certainly did not come from Venus.

I watched a show by RTHK tonight and I found it pretty interesting. It was about the 港男/港女 phenomenon. To be honest, I had never heard of those terms until a few months ago. I do not know anyone in Hong Kong who can be classified as either 港男 or 港女. Well, I do not have that many friends in Hong Kong though. Haha.

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

I watched Randy Pausch's Last Lecture on Youtube. He was a Computer Science Professor at the Carnegie Mellon University. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away recently. In his Last Lecture he talked about how he achieved childhood dreams and how he had helped other people achieve their dreams. Although the 'lecture' is pretty lengthy (lasting for about 1 hour), I think it is definitely worth spending the time on watching it! You can find the transcript of the lecture here.
